BAEBLE MUSIC PREMIERES DOE PAORO AND SON LITTLE PERFORMING NEW SONG TOGETHER
Baeble Music is premiering an affecting video performance featuring Doe Paoro and Son Little performing their new song “Shadows.” The track features Paoro with vocal accompaniment and production by Son Little. It showcases the two acclaimed artists singing on a beautifully soulful composition with nuances of classic seventies Stevie Wonder, late era Beatles and something profoundly personal and new sounding.

“I was really inspired by the depth and clarity of his music,” Paoro says. “And this is something I felt when we were writing lyrics together. All these ideas boiled down into this really pure statement. How things can be very simple and deep at the same time.”
Son Little adds, “I think we kind of talked our way into it. We wrote down our conversation. That was the first time we met, and for your first conversation to become a song, is kind of a special thing. I think we both came at this with our own experiences. We’ve both had are experiences of light and dark times.”
On her recent album After, Doe Paoro drew on influences ranging from Carole King to Aretha Franklin to create a mesmerizing hybrid of R&B, synthpop, and indie-leaning electro rooted in an earthy minimalism.
