MAVIS!, the first feature documentary on the legendary singer, directed by Jessica Edwards, will debut on
Monday, February 29, 2016, exclusively on HBO.
A new song from the highly anticipated new Mavis Staples album Livin’ On A High Note entitled “Dedicated” is premiering today on Pitchfork. The moving and reflective track powerfully merges seventies Dylan lyricism with classic blues and soul. The song was written by M. Ward and Bon Iver’s Justin Veron who offers his insights below:
