NEW YORK TIMES PREMIERES SON LITTLE EP

Things I Forgot Available November 10

European Live Dates Announced

Soul alchemist SON LITTLE recently completed a series of triumphant shows at CMJ that inspired New York Times’ writer Jon Pareles to rave, "His band uses electronics to toss in the odd percussive loop or synthesizer swoop; his guitar playing is laconic but pointed; and his lyrics mingle existential fears with his blandishments… The music had roots, but wasn’t looking back.”

Today the New York Times’ Press Play premieres the phenomenal new EP by LITTLE entitled Things I Forgot. This is the first long-form release from the exciting new artist whose innovative sound NPR said “touches on soul, blues, hip-hop and reggae. Samples, fuzzy guitar and simple drums work together to create an undeniable groove” and NME called “pure, heart-spilled-over-the-road soul.”

The EP opens with “The River,” a seductive reconstruction of American blues infused with elements of hip-hop. Next is “Your Love Will Blow Me Away When My Heart Aches” which The NY Times previously described as “a crawling blues-rock song jabbed by his dissonant guitar and stray sci-fi echo effects.” The guitar groove of “Cross My Heart” bears haunting witness to departed friends, while “Joy” re-invents the classic soul ballad. Closer “Alice” offers an inventive mix of garage punk and psychedelic soul.
