In anticipation of the band’s upcoming appearance at the storied New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, GALACTIC are giving friends and fans a personal off the beaten path guide to their beloved hometown of New Orleans. Band members discuss their favorites for late night dining and all night dancing. GALACTIC will be performing at the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on May 1st. For this special hometown celebration the band will be joined on stage by soul legend Irma Thomas along with renowned New Orleans musicians Cyril Neville and Corey Henry.
The band will also make an appearance on the riveting new HBO show “Treme” this coming Sunday April 18. The series, by the brilliant creators of the The Wire, focuses on life in New Orleans three months after Hurricane Katrina as residents try to rebuild their lives, homes and musical culture.
