SAINTSENECA ANNOUNCE WEST COAST LIVE DATES

Band Delivers Powerful Thoughtful Rock On Ambitious New Album

Provide Instructional Karaoke Video For Audiences

Saintseneca has just announced a series of new West Coast live dates. The group will be touring in support of their critically heralded new album Such Things, which Stereogum called “a hell of an album” and Paste proclaimed “simply intoxicating.”

In preparation for Saintseneca’s spirited live show, the band has created a tasteful karaoke video for their single "Bad Ideas" thus allowing fans plenty of time to practice their singalongs. Please watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_s-dn5goUs&feature=youtu.be

Such Things is the band’s most catchy and accessible output to date, and a work that solidifies singer and songwriter Zac Little’s status as one of modern indie music’s most thoughtful and talented artists. The new record is a noticeable departure from the darker cinematic qualities of its predecessor, the acclaimed Dark Arc. This time around the group explores the primal power of classic rock hooks with such success that the blog Grantland recently anointed them “the Fleetwood Mac of the Bright Eyes generation.”

Critical Acclaim for Saintseneca’s Such Things:

"From start to finish, Such Things feels like the product of intense care — every word and sound feels thoughtfully wrought. So how come it also sounds amazing when blared out of car windows? - NPR

"Such Things is a giant step for Saintseneca on every level. While it's wildly expansive in its production, the songwriting and arranging are intensely focused; every seeming excess has a properly ordered place in their sonic universe. Here, the simple and profound are pondered and joyously celebrated as equals. Saintseneca is no longer a folk band. Mourn if you want, but when a record is this good, who the hell cares?” - All Music Guide

"Another recent favorite LP is Such Things, the latest from Columbus, Ohio’s Saintseneca, which blends folk, punk, and downcast melodies in the service of crafting heartrending, ramshackle pop tunes. Since Rilo Kiley is no longer around to be the Fleetwood Mac of the Bright Eyes generation, it’s nice to see another band pick up the slack.” - Grantland

"Violin, banjo, guitar and the jangly interplay between Little’s campside howl and Jones’ precious falsetto are simply intoxicating.” - Paste

"For an album that’s dealing with such heady concepts, Such Things manages to sound remarkably grounded. There’s an emotive core at the heart of the album that weighs it all the philosophy down with a sense of humanity. As the band traverses between hushed, folkier whispers and their more muscular barn-burning stomp, they create some cutting, satisfying whiplash. The glistening trio of early singles — “Sleeper Hold,” “River,” and “Bad Ideas” — are only some of the many highlights on the record, which is filled with those same kind of deep riffs that you could build a home in, or at least a sturdy tent. It’s a hell of an album.” - Stereogum
