TRICKY REMIXES THE ANTLERS' “CREST”
Song Available Via RCRD LBL/ Band Currently On Tour
RCRD LBL is premiering a remix of The Antlers' track “Crest” by renowned English musician and producer Tricky. The song is from The Antlers latest record Undersea which Entertainment Weekly described as “dreamy and mesmerizing” and Pitchfork called “a gorgeous arrival… wrapped in thick, translucent gauze.” Tricky’s version infuses the song with nuances of his patented tripped-out dancehall.
The band’s vocalist and guitarist Peter Silberman describes how the track came about, “We were backstage at the Optimus Alive festival in Lisbon, staring at a confusing Portuguese coffee machine, when Tricky appeared and showed us how to use it. After that, we got to talking and he asked if we'd be into him remixing a track. His records have been a big influence on us and we were thrilled.”
