MILK CARTON KIDS ANNOUNCE TOUR DATES

Paste Premieres New Video By Acclaimed Duo

New Album The Ash & Clay Out March 26th

The Milk Carton Kids will be embarking on an extensive tour in support of their upcoming new album The Ash & Clay which arrives in stores this March 26th via Anti-.  Founded in 2011, the duo has attracted a devoted and sizable following with the deceptive minimalism of their music, touring with a host of acts (Old Crow Medicine Show, Punch Brothers, and more), charming audiences with their deadpan on-stage humor, and garnering critical acclaim uncommon to such a young collaboration.

Paste Magazine is premiering a new video for the title song of the duo’s upcoming new album The Ash & Clay. The clip offers subtle yet revealing progression from their recent “Snake Eyes” video, calling attention to the disparity between the expansive and colorful experience we have when we listen to music, and what we look like when we do. The Milk Carton Kids consists of Kenneth Pattengale and Joey Ryan. While the most obvious musical reference is the classic folk revival sound of their twin acoustic guitars and close harmonies, the band both expands and contradicts that rich legacy with highly inventive guitar lines and intricately interwoven vocals, proving that folk music never needed a revival at all.

Three songs from The Ash & Clay are currently featured in the acclaimed new Gus Van Sant/Matt Damon film Promised Land.
