COEN BROTHERS/T-BONE BURNETT NYC CONCERT
Duo Making Third Appearance On "A Prairie Home Companion"
Special Shows At Largo in Los Angeles/New Fall Tour Dates Announced
The Milk Carton Kids are back with a series of intriguing events this fall. The renowned Los Angeles duo will perform September 29th in "Another Day, Another Time: Celebrating The Music Of 'Inside Llewyn Davis.”’ The concert, a benefit organized by The Coen Brothers and T-Bone Burnett, will take place at New York City's Town Hall and feature music inspired by the Coen Brothers' new film "Inside Llewyn Davis", set in the 1960's Greenwich Village folk music scene. Also performing are The Avett Brothers, Joan Baez, Marcus Mumford, Conor Oberst, Patti Smith, Gillian Welch, Jack White and more. The show is already sold out.
Then, the duo will be making its third appearance as musical guest on Garrison Keillor's widely popular radio show "A Prairie Home Companion" on October 26th in Memphis, TN.
The Milk Carton Kids have also just announced a series of North American headline dates for this fall, playing in further support of their album The Ash & Clay.
Finally, to close out the year the duo will return to Los Angeles in November to perform two different types of shows at Largo. The Milk Carton Kids Revue on November 12th will be a collaborative performance with special guests, highlighting the diverse range of artists the band has worked and toured with over its short 3 year span. This is the duo's second Revue at Largo, with past guests including Ed Helms, Joe Henry, Over the Rhine, Jill Sobule, Joe Purdy, John C. Reilly and others. Then on November 16th, TMCK will take the same stage as headliners playing two sets with an intermission to celebrate the band's year of touring in support of their record The Ash & Clay, released March 26th.
