THIS IS STEVE BY DELICATE STEVE OUT NOW

New Video For “Tomorrow” Premieres At UPROXX.COM

Tour Dates Announced

NPR called the new album This Is Steve by Delicate Steve “a joy to listen to.” The album arrives in stores today accompanied by an intriguing new video for the track “Tomorrow” involving an enigmatic traveler moving through landscapes on a Segway. The clip is available courtesy of UPROXX.COM.

Of the soulful and lyrical guitar based song and its mysteries and whimsical video, Steve says, “Tomorrow is the future. It represents dreams and ambitions and unrealized potential and procrastination and distraction. We are all going to get there some day. And then, what?”

Steve produced and played all the instruments on This Is Steve. He created it as an introduction from himself to you, and named it appropriately. He is a unique talent that has previously been recognized by renowned artists such as David Byrne, Dirty Projectors, tUnE-yArDs, Mac DeMarco, Dr. Dog, and elder statesmen like Lee Ranaldo and Built to Spill. He is likely the only guitarist who has cut records with Sondre Lerche and Death Grip's Zach Hill, been picked to open a sold out tour for Tame Impala and provided guitar for Paul Simon's new record.

Delicate Steve will be performing throughout North America in support of his new album.

Early critical praise for This Is Steve

“Here's something rare these days: an instrumental guitar-rock record that's actually a joy to listen to.” - NPR

“This is Steve is an invigorating blast of instrumental rock.   Most of the time, his guitar playing is anything but delicate; It stings, shouts, flits and bequiles, often with uninhibited joy.  Its energy extends outward; that is, there are no self-indulgent note blizzards or pompoous dinosaur stomps. This is Steve is good fuzzy fun" - The Wall St. Journal

“Delicate Steve's debut for the Anti- label, seems to race by in flashes of color and bursts of sound that leave the listener with more than a few earworm melodies buzzing around the brain " - Relix

“The tunes on this record are rangy, loose-limbed, and strange; his influences as diverse as J.J. Cale, ZZ Top, and the aforementioned Rolling Stones. He's a rarity, with great hair, and a tattoo of Zappa's mustache on the back of his left arm." - Noisey
