Grinderman Announce Grinderman 2 RMX

Grinderman are pleased to announce the release of Grinderman 2 RMX – a collection of remixes, reinterpretations & collaborations based on the songs contained in the band’s 2010 critically celebrated album Grinderman 2. Out on Anti- on March 13, 2012 on Anti-, Grinderman 2 RMX marks the first time all these tracks have been collected together. The album will be available in a deluxe double vinyl edition with CD insert, as well as digital formats.

Grinderman 2 RMX’s many outstanding tracks include “Super Heathen Child” - a collaborative version of Grinderman’s “Heathen Child” (MOJO Honours Song Of The Year 2011) which teams the band up with legendary guitarist Robert Fripp (King Crimson, David Bowie, Eno); an exclusive previously unreleased remix of “Bellringer Blues” by Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ guitarist Nick Zinner; a remix of “Mickey Mouse & the Goodbye Man” by producer/-musician Joshua Homme (Queens of the Stone Age); “When My Baby Comes” by Cat’s Eyes (a duo consisting of Horrors’ front-man Faris Badwan and soprano Rachel Zeffira); “Evil” reinterpreted by Silver Alert (Grinderman’s Jim Sclavunos) and The National’s front man Matt Berninger; and Grinderman’s original demo version of “Evil”, “First Evil”.

Limited Edition Grinderman Singles At The ANTI Store

In the aftermath of a jubilant Record Store Day, there now remains a small number of limited edition Record Store Day 12″ singles from the phenomenal rock and roll outfit Grinderman.

Currently available within the snazzy confines of the Anti Store are the “Palaces Of Montezuma” remix featuring versions of the song from Birthday Party alumni Barry Adamson, Cenzo and Cat’s Eyes with Luke Tristram all on a striking 12’’ disc of colored vinyl.

There’s also the “Evil” remix featuring a remix from Silver Alert (Jim Sclavunos and Peter Mavrogeorgis), featuring lead vocals by The National’s Matt Berninger, ‘The Michael Cliffe House Remix’ by the UK’s Factory Floor and ‘First Evil’, Nick Cave and Warren Ellis’ early demo from RAK Studios, plus the original version, from Grinderman 2. This is available on 12” red glitter vinyl.

Grinderman "Palaces Of Montezuma" and "Evil" Remixes For Record Store Day

Arriving soon is a collection of remixed tracks from Grinderman 2, the second album by the sonic force known as Grinderman. This magnificently ferocious outfit features Nick Cave and longtime Bad Seed cohorts Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey and Jim Sclavunos.

First up are a set of remixes of the song “Palaces Of Montezuma”, available digitally on 3/15 and as limited edition colored 12” vinyl on Record Store Day which happens on 4/16.

Grinderman Remixed By Barry Adamson

Grinderman are releasing a new single from their latest album Grinderman 2 on March 14th called “Palaces of Montezuma.” There is an additional remix of the song by the incredibly talented longtime Nick Cave collaborator Barry Adamson who played with the legendary band Magazine as well as with The Bad Seeds. Grinderman Announce Photo Contest

Grinderman are an explosive musical ensemble comprised of Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey and Jim Sclavunos. The band will be taking their electrifying live show across North America in the coming weeks in support of their acclaimed new album Grinderman2. In lieu of this, Grinderman are seeking aspiring photographers to capture performances throughout the tour. Those interested are asked to submit links to digital portfolios via email for consideration. The band will select a winner for each show on the tour and the winning photographer will be given special access to shoot their local show as a house photographer. The resulting photos will then be posted on the band’s official website and Facebook page alongside the works of professional photographers.

Grinderman Launch North American Tour, Perform On Late Night With Jimmy Fallon This Monday

The cathartic force which is Grinderman, an ensemble featuring Nick Cave, Warren Ellis, Martyn Casey, and Jim Sclavunos, launched their anticipated North American tour Thursday night with an electrifying sold out performance at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre. In their review of the show, Spin Magazine raves "The ungodly squall produced by Nick Cave and three of his fellow moonlighting Bad Seeds (guitarist/violinist Warren Ellis, bassist Martyn Casey, and drummer Jim Sclavunos) was powerful enough to induce seizures, panic attacks, and hallucinations without any superfluous stimuli" and notes of lead crooner Nick Cave, "he immediately reassumes his mantle as one of rock's most compelling frontmen."
