Former Grandaddy Frontman to Tour with Neko Case in June First Solo Appearances at SXSW Steals the Show
On April 7th, Grandaddy singer and principle songwriter Jason Lytle will release a digital single for "Yours Truly, the Commuter" off his forthcoming solo debut full-length also titled Yours Truly, the Commuter, out May 19th on ANTI- Records.
On June 3rd, Lytle will meet up with labelmate Neko Case in Vancouver for a number of west coast shows. Neko is currently riding high on her new release Middle Cyclone which debuted at #3 on the Billboard charts.
Lytle is currently recuperating from almost a week of appearances, some of his first as a solo artist, at the 2009 South By Southwest music festival. By all accounts, his live performances of material from Yours Truly are upholding the torch lit by Grandaddy, understated but immensely moving and melodic.
