The North Carolina based musical ensemble Lost In The Trees produces an emotionally powerful merging of folk, pop and classical. The group recently stopped by the NPR offices of All Songs Considered to perform a Tiny Desk Concert. Helmed by singer-songwriter Ari Picker, the immensely talented seven person ensemble features cellos, violins, tubas, French horn, guitar and more. Their recently released album All Alone In An Empty House is currently winning over music fans and critics alike. NPR writer Bob Boilen states succinctly, "This is my favorite new band of 2010."

Lost In The Trees embark on a North American Tour starting September 21st, so make sure to catch this groundbreaking new ensemble's riveting live performance.
"The band unplugged their instruments, hopped off the stage, and played a stirring rendition of 'Time Taunts Me.' From his spot in the middle of the floor, Ari lead the crowd in a beautiful sing-a-long with the ardor of a street corner evangelist desperate to save souls. I, for one, left the room a convert." - Brooklyn Vegan Live Review
