DR. DOG ANNOUNCES HEADLINE TOUR

Band Readies Release Of New Album B-Room

Lead Track “The Truth” Winning Praise

Dr. Dog have just announced a headline tour of North America. The Philadelphia group, renowned for their raucous and transcendent live shows, will be performing in support of their upcoming new album entitled B-Room which arrives in stores this October 1st via Anti-. Fans can pre-order the new album via http://www.drdogmusic.com and will automatically be entered into a contest to win an autographed Dr. Dog photo (only 150 available).

Spin Magazine recently premiered the first track from the album called “The Truth,” describing the song as “a timeless slab of melancholic beauty.” In the ensuing days the song has amassed a phenomenal number of listens on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUnpNq7U2Qk and several other publications have weighed in with ardent praise:

“Reminiscent of the sounds of old-school soul and Motown tracks, but there is still a distinct modern/garage rock edge that allows this song to be more than just a 70's soul sound-a-like. It's soothing and simple. What more could you ask for?” - Filter

“The live take approach has stripped the band to their core, removing a lot of the psychedelic pomp and circumstance to leave only the soulful swagger of warmly vibrating organ, methodical guitar work, and McMicken’s world-weary harmonies.” - Consequence Of Sound

“The track breezily pays homage to the kings and queens of Philly soul while allowing the boys to keep carving out a path of their own.” – CMJ

“It features a timeless laid back vibe that is all kinds of feel good. It’s some quality stuff that is border lining on excellence” – WeAllWantSomeone.org

“The song shows us a Dr. Dog stripped of their psychedelic pageantry, leaving a sound you can nuzzle up to, feeling the warmth of their sweet Philadelphia soul.” – The Wild Honey Pie
