THE ANTLERS Set To Tour North America This Summer

FAMILIARS OUT JUNE 17 VIA ANTI- RECORDS
FIRST SINGLE “PALACE” STREAMING NOW

To celebrate the release of their highly anticipated new album Familiars, The Antlers will tour the U.S. and Canada this summer. Tour dates include New York, Chicago and Los Angeles—please see below for full tour routing. Tickets will be available April 11, for further information visit http://antlersmusic.com/tour/. First single “Palace” is garnering widespread critical acclaim:

“A prettily mournful music box melody.”—Stereogum
“A lovely and glowing lullaby...”—Consequence of Sound
“Sounds like The Antlers saying “we’re back.”—Brooklyn Vegan
“Trembling show of instrumental melancholy.”—Drowned in Sound
“Even stronger, more decisive and prettier than ever before…”—Revolt

Familiars will be released on Anti- Records June 17 and on Transgressive Records in the U.K. June 16. Their fourth studio album follows 2011’s critically lauded Burst Apart, which Pitchfork named Best New Music and NPR called “a delicate mixture of grace and intensity.” The video for “Palace” is streaming via YouTube: http://bit.ly/PaCwai. Familiars was recorded, engineered and produced by the band in their Brooklyn studio and mixed by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, Beach House) at DNA Downtown Studios.
The Antlers is Peter Silberman, Darby Cicci and Michael Lerner. Silberman founded The Antlers in 2006 as a solo project and released two bedroom-recorded LPs before enlisting Cicci and Lerner to round out the group. As a trio they recorded and released 2009’s breakout Hospice and Burst Apart, as well as the 2012 EP Undersea.
