Tinariwen Win Grammy For Best World Music

Anti-Records is absolutely thrilled to congratulate celebrated North African band Tinariwen for their much deserved Grammy win in the Best World Music Category for their captivating and soulful album Tassili.

On Tassili, the renowned band returned to the roots of their hypnotic sound with only acoustic guitars and unamplified percussion. Recorded in the Algerian desert, the record features contributions by Tunde Adebimpe and Kyp Malone of TV On The Radio, Wilco guitar virtuoso Nels Cline and the horns of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band.

NPR called Tinariwen "just about the best guitar-based rock band of the 21st century" while All Music Guide described Tassili as "as timeless as the desert itself."
