Dr. Dog To Play Late Night With Jimmy Fallon March 23

Dr. Dog will be appearing on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon this Friday, March 23 in support of the their new album Be The Void. The group will also be performing at a number of music festivals including The Beal Street Music Festival on May 4th, The Hangout Festival May 18th, the Friendly Gathering on June 14th and the Forecastle Festival on July 14th.

Their latest record Be The Void combines the group's meticulously crafted pop with a far leaner and meaner primal sound which perfectly captures the rough and tumble energy of their renowned live show. The Philadelphia band entered the studio with a renewed sense of enthusiasm and confidence. "It was reminiscent of when we were starting out and were these fearless weirdoes in a basement, so confident and reckless and bold," guitarist-vocalist Scott McMicken explains. Esquire Magazine called the record "a glorious rally cry."

Acclaim For Be The Void:

"The band returns to the sunburnt sprawl of its first few records. You've got your big, bulbous melodies, your rattly unplugged strums, your mile-long solos; in vocalists Scott McMicken and Toby Leaman, you've got yourself a veritable two-man harmony factory stocked with enough whisky and cigarettes to get you through the spring." - Pitchfork

"Be The Void is a spot-on sonic homecoming. The record's classic-rock, live-concert sound is largely indiscernible from Dr. Dog's early self-recordings, which is to say that 11 years in the business hasn't sapped any of the Philadelphia group's enthusiasm. That Dr. Dog has written some supremely catchy tunes isn't too surprising, but few would expect its (or any band's) fifth record to be every bit as exciting as its first." - AV Club

"It's a fun, rocking, swirling look at a meaningless and mysterious world." - NPR

"It rocks harder and more explicitly than ever, and it's Dr. Dog's best approximation yet of its exuberant live shows." - Magnet
