Rolling Stone Premieres New Tim Fite Video

This Monday February 6th, Rolling Stone will debut a brand new video from the artist Tim Fite. The highly imaginative and emotionally resonant clip for the song "We Are All Teenagers" is from Fite's upcoming album Ain't Ain't Ain't which will arrive in stores on March 6th via Anti-Records.

The epic and heart wrenching song "We Are All Teenagers" serves as the thematic centerpiece of Fite's startling new album, building from an intimate lament on the awkwardness of the teen years to a magnificently cathartic Phil Spector-like crescendo about human frailty and the lost promise of youth. The accompanying video perfectly captures the song's bittersweet sentiments.

As Tim Fite explains, "The video for "We Are All Teenagers" tells the story of an old man who is pleasantly confused by his own reflection. Whenever he looks in the mirror, he sees himself as a teenager. Emboldened by this reflective anomaly, the old man swipes his daughter's car keys, and sneaks out of the house for a bit of late night joyriding. Ditching his cane, clad only in flannel pajamas, the old man hurdles headlong into a joyous night of freedom and fireworks."

Directed by Ronnie Porto and featuring Tim Fite in special effects "old man make-up," this cinematic video will appeal to anyone who has ever snuck out of a window in the middle of the night . . . anyone who has ever run around the yard waving a sparkler . . . who has ever hung out the window of a moving car just to feel the wind in their hair. . . this video is for proud few who can recall what it was like to be a teenager, making "something to do" out of "There is nothing to do!"

To watch the video for Tim Fite's "We Are All Teenagers" just go to Rolling Stone.

The album Ain't Ain't Ain't is the final installment of Fite's critically acclaimed "Ain't" trilogy. While the first two albums were powerful sound collages that artfully combined disparate musical traditions without pretense or prejudice, this latest work features the artist playing and recording instruments in the studio. This leaner sound reveals Tim Fite to be a classic songwriter of startling ability and vision.
