CALEXICO CELEBRATE RECORD STORE DAY WITH SYMPHONIC LIVE ALBUM
Spiritoso Available April 20th/Band Playing Festival & Tour Dates
The celebrated Tucson, Arizona band Calexico will commemorate this year's Record Store Day with the release of a brand new live album entitled Spiritoso. The disc features the band performing songs from their celebrated career including tracks from their latest record Algiers which Mojo pronounced “the album of their lives” and Pitchfork called "impeccably conceived and imaginatively crafted."
Spiritoso presents Calexico performing live in full symphonic glory, recorded in Germany backed by the esteemed Radio Symphonie Orchestre Wien. This exclusive Record Store Day edition of the album includes a full CD and arrives in a numbered limited edition first pressing of 3000.

Record Store Day, which occurs this year on April 20th, is an international day celebrating the unique culture surrounding independently owned record stores in the USA and abroad. Every year the stores come together with an array of artists to celebrate with special vinyl and CD releases and in-store performances.

Calexico will appear at the popular Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester Tennessee as well as other festival dates including the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Wakarusa Festival and the Nelsonville Music Festival. The band will also headline non festival dates throughout North America.
