Deafheaven Celebrate 10 Years As A Band With 2020 Tour
Critically-acclaimed GRAMMY®-nominated metal band Deafheaven have announced plans to bring their transcendent live show on the road in 2020 to celebrate 10 years as a band.
The 36-date run begins March 20 in Salt Lake City, UT and wraps May 2 in Vancouver, BC with direct support from Inter Arma. Greet Death and All Your Sisters will join as support for select dates. Tickets go on sale Friday, December 13 at 10am local time. For more information visit, https://deafheaven.com/.
“Come 2020, it'll be ten years since we released the Deafheaven demo on Bandcamp. To commemorate this, we're planning special sets that include songs from all our albums,” explains vocalist George Clarke. “Joining us will be the great Inter Arma as well as Greet Death and All Your Sisters, two bands we're excited about from Deathwish Inc. and The Flenser, the labels that supported us early on. We are very much looking forward to this last tour of the States before hibernating to work on new music. See you then.
Formed in San Francisco in 2010, Deafheaven made their debut with 2011’s Roads To Judah and had an unexpected crossover hit with their 2013 sophomore effort Sunbather. Along with being praised as “one of the best albums of the year” by Stereogum, their third album New Bermuda (2015) was hailed as “a brilliant collision of beauty and despair” in Pitchfork’s Best New Music review. In 2018, the band earned their first GRAMMY® nomination for “Honeycomb,” the lead single off their fourth studio album Ordinary Human Corrupt Love, in the Best Metal Performance category. Ordinary Human Corrupt Love made several critics lists for the best of 2018, including Decibel, Revolver, Noisey, Consequence of Sound, Rolling Stone, Spin, and more.
Deafheaven is vocalist George Clarke, guitarists Kerry McCoy and Shiv Mehra, bassist Christopher Johnson, and drummer Daniel Tracy.
